Activities of the Guarantee Fund
The Guarantee Fund:
- collects contributions from banks, investment institutions, and mandatory pension management companies and insurance undertakings concluding pension contracts;
- raises the funds needed to finance the implementation of crisis resolution measures and rights;
- compensates under the conditions, to the extent, and in accordance with the procedure laid down by law:
- deposits placed with the bank by depositors;
- investors for their investments;
- unit-holders for damage caused by the pension management company;
- support under the conditions, to the extent and in accordance with the procedure laid down by law: the transfer of an insurance undertaking’s pension portfolio to another insurance undertaking;
- carries out other statutory tasks (including investment of the fund’s assets and recovery of compensation paid to the fund participants).
